Is the wiring diagram for a male plug or female socket and is it as viewed from the ‘front’ of the plug or socket or from the ‘rear’ where the wiring is connected? I know one is the mirror of the other but which does your diagram show please?

You should be able to buy a “Plug in” adapter rather than do all the wiring.
